Da Bear Cast - Home

Since 2006…

Since 2006 the Bears have only lost 5 games (6 technically, but the last game of the regular season in ‘06 we rested our starters) by more than 10 points. That means that every loss we have we are in until the end.

2008
-we got drubbed by Green Bay when neckbeard was coming off his injured ankle, and he played like dog crap.
-we lost to Minnesota by 20 on a night when neckbeard threw 3 pics and I would argue this one was close until near the end

2007
- we lost the season opener to San Diego 14 -3 but that one was pretty close the whole way as well.
- we played Dallas a few weeks later and got owned 34-10, aside from the loss to Miami in 2006 this could be the worst loss Lovie Smith has taken if you don’t count 2004 when he got here and was rebuilding.

2006
- We got our butts handed to us by Miami. I think this was because we were riding high and took them for granted.
- We lost to Green Bay the last game of the regular season because we didn’t care and we rested our starters in the 2nd half

My point here is that the Bears under Lovie Smith either win, or have a chance to win 9 out of every 10 games they play. When you add a quarterback that knows how to win games, and make plays, it greatly increases our chances of winning the close games that we have dropped in the past.

I have heard a lot of complaints about Lovie the past couple of seasons, but people need to take a look at the good situations he puts us in, and not be so quick to think someone… anyone else could do better.
