The Bears will be starting off the year with a Lions team that is in the middle of rebuilding their franchise. They drafted a monster in defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh this year. He is someone the Bears really need to watch out for. If Suh get’s a hold of Cutler tomorrow he will destroy him. I saw what he did to Jake Delhomme during a preseason in Cleveland this year. He mauled him like legendary Dick Butkus mauled everything that stepped in his line of sight. So what I’m trying to get at is, they need to block Suh if their life depended on it.
If the Bears offensive line stops Suh, the offense will have a field day against the Lions. Jay Cutler will rip the Lions for a few touchdowns and hopefully no interceptions. Matt Forte and Chester Taylor will also have a good game as well. That all hinges on the offensive line though. If they are able to protect Jay and create holes for Matt and Chester, it will be a great day for the offense.
The defense should be able to pick apart Stafford in his second year debut. There is no reason why the Bears defensive line should be stopped. They need to be in Stafford’s face every play. If they create pressure that will cause Stafford to make stupid decisions and throw that ball right into Chris Harris’ hands. That’s all if they create pressure
So after much thought over the past 24 hours, I believe the Bears will win…
Bears 35
Lions 14
That’s if the Bears defense shows up. If they don’t come to the game, it will resemble something like this..
Bears 35
Lions 31
The Bears still win, but it will be an ugly one.
