Orton To Start against 49ers and Into Regular Seas
The Bears coaching staff Tuesday made the decision to name Kyle Orton the starter throughout the remainder of the preseason and in the home opener against the Colts.“To come to a decision like that, we’ve taken a lot of things into consideration—last year, how we finished the season, OTAs, training camp, preseason games,” Smith said. “In the end it comes down to a gut feeling that you have, and I feel good about Kyle leading our team.” Lovie Smith said about the decision. I would have to say, if we are going to have QB that has no time to throw, the Bears probably made the right decision. If the offensive line was more stable, Rex would have been my choice. Considering the circumstances, I don't disagree with the coaching staff. While I believe the Rex is the best quarterback overall, in the current situation, I believe Kyle suites us best. The Bears will probably not go through the whole season without putting a backup in, due to the seemingly week status of the offensive line.
